kiva maebe wilsonstein, dog genius

After five years of (patient) waiting, I finally have a dog!!
So far she's accomplished a lot for a little dog.  She already knows how not to pee in the house!  She learned that one less than 24 hours after coming home.  She's working on learning her name, she isn't so sure about going on walks but I think she'll learn to appreciate those, and she only has to get up once to go to the bathroom at night!

Snow dog!

Learning to love to sleep in her kennel:
Helping John cook dinner (he was making tuna sandwiches)!

How incredibly sweet! How did you decide on the name?

Kiva means "to protect" in Hebrew and "nice" in Finnish (it took A LOT of research to decide on a good name...not to human-like, not to cheesey), Maebe is a character from the TV show Arrested Development. I wanted that to be her first name, but I thought it might be confusing. And Wilsonstein is the creation of one of my friends, she calls me and John "the Wilsonstein's" (his last name is Robinson-Wilson)...

sooo adorable! Now that we bought the house a dog is next on our list as soon as school is out! So maybe a month or two away! Picking a name is incredibly hard: we don't agree on anything!
How big will Kiva get when she is full grown??
I can't wait to see all of you on a trip to Anchorage soon (and by soon, hopefully this summer!)
